Combination of UHT technology and aseptic packaging guarantees no foreign object is able to get inside beverage packs
Bandung, 1 March 2016 - PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry Tbk. stated that Ultra Milk is safe to consume. Based on the inspection conducted on 9 February 2016, The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BBPOM) Bandung stated that there had been no deviation during the processing of dairy raw materials, packaging materials, use of equipment, the processing itself, packaging and releasing (quality control).
Ultra Milk is processed in a closed loop system, using Ultra High Temperature (UHT) technology and aseptic packaging that guarantee product safety, starting from the processing of dairy raw materials up to the packaging. The food safety systems at PT Ultrajaya have obtained certification from SGS (Food Safety System certificate), from BPOM (Food Safety Star certificate) and from MUI (Halal certificate).
It is impossible for a foreign object to be able to get inside Ultramilk product packets. This is because the production process is done in a closed loop. UHT technology has been utilized all over the world for many years, and we have been using UHT technology for more than 40 years. This technology is proven to produce safe and quality processed products.
Production follows a closed loop process. BBPOM has also checked other milk drinks from the same production batch and has found no abnormalities or foreign objects inside those sample packs, which were all verified as normal.
Azwar M. Muhthasawwar, PT Ultrajaya Plant Manager, added that the result of microscopic tests conducted on a sample obtained from the consumer, based on its texture, smell as well as the cellular structure, showed that the sample was a mass of spoiled chocolate milk.
Milk spoilage can occur when the packet has been opened and stored for relatively a long time at room temperature or has been damaged in the course of inappropriate handling or storing. "Spoilage NOT CONTAMINATION occurs after the product passes the quality control stage at the factory and is caused by other external factors that are hard for the milk producer to control," added Sabana Prawirawidjaja, President Director of PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry Tbk., who is also the Chairman of the Dairy Processing Industry Association (AIPS).
PT ULTRAJAYA suggests consumers to carefully inspect the expiration date of the milk product and make sure that the packet is in acceptable condition with no damage or leaks.
